PROPERTY MANAGER SPOTLIGHT:
Ann Van Oosbree

Ann Van Oosbree has been a Property Manager for Merit Property Management for the past 18 months.  She started her career in Property Management as a portfolio assistant in Downtown San Diego.  After a year of training and educating herself in the field of Property Management, Ann was hired by Merit as the on-site General Manager at Park Boulevard West and Park Boulevard East located in the East Village.

One of her biggest challenges as a Property Manager is dealing with a dynamic environment.  Park Boulevard West and Park Boulevard East are located in an area in the middle of significant growth and under redevelopment.  Park West is surrounded on three sides by a trolley stop, a bus stop, and a detox center.  Park East, on the other hand, is surrounded by apartments.  It is difficult to know how to even embark on addressing some of the problems that arise in this area.  Ann has taken a proactive approach in working with local law enforcement, community groups, and homeowners to address all concerns creating the desired environment for the tenants.

Ann laughs when describing her day, “My office has floor to ceiling windows that look onto the Park Blvd. Trolley stop so every day is an adventure full of surprises.”

She continues to have a positive attitude and is very proud to be representing her company in her role at Merit.  A great support system and enjoying happy hour with friends helps maintain her sanity in being a productive and successful Manager.
